Pastor Joel Jenswold is the youngest of three children. He was born in Milwaukee, WI.

Joel and his wife Sue met at Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, and began dating their senior year. They married in 1989, and the Lord has blessed them with three sons and a daughter.

• Jacob, married to Maddy. They have daughter Zoey and son Joel.
• Nicolas, married to Emily. They have a son Jude and daughter Evelyn.
• Nathan, married to Morgan.
• Rachel, married to Joe.

Joel Jenswold has served as pastor of two congregations before coming to Lord of Love. From 1993 to 2010, he served Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, outside of Columbus, OH. Afterward he served Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, WI, from 2011 until accepting the call to Lord of Love in the fall of 2018.

Pastor and Sue enjoy walking, jogging and other types of exercise. Pastor also enjoys some woodworking and electrical work. Sue is a medical receptionist. They have their home in DeForest.
