FAQ’s
What are your services like?
Our worship services last about an hour. They consist of music, Bible lessons, a sermon, prayer and, twice a month, communion. Worship is casual, and all ages are welcome. The congregation is led through each part of the service, so even a first-time visitor can follow along. There is social time before and after services where members can catch up over a cup of coffee.
What about small children?
Children are encouraged to attend our church with their parents and can join in the children’s portion of the service available throughout the year. We have a parent’s room at the back of the sanctuary. This room has a large glass wall with sound that allows you be a part of the service, while having a separate area for children if needed. Rocking chairs and books are also available in this room. Additionally, all children ages 4 and older are invited to Sunday school between services during the school year.
Is the building handicap accessible?
Handicap parking stalls are located in the upper and lower level parking lots. Curbs include ramps to accommodate a wheelchair. There is a covered drive up to the main level doors that makes it easy to load and unload in inclement weather. There is a powered door at this entrance of the church.
The main level of church, which includes the sanctuary, offices and bathrooms are all on one level and wheelchair accessible.
The lower level of the church, which includes classrooms, a gathering area and a kitchen, is also handicap accessible from the lower level parking lot. There are handicap parking stalls near the lower doors and the curb includes a ramp to allow a wheelchair access.
There is no elevator between the upper and lower levels of church.
What do people wear?
Our congregation is casual, and we do not have a dress code. For a worship service, many people choose to dress a little nicer out of respect for our God. This is a personal choice for each person, but we do ask that common sense guidelines be followed.
What kind of music do you sing?
Most of our hymns come from Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal. We enjoy singing the Psalms from the Bible while other music may come from other supplements and sources. Much of our music may be described as traditional.
