I am pleased to announce that your Elevator Building Committee is prepared to recommend a contractor for our project.   We are going to withhold making a public announcement until after the January Voter’s meeting.    The company we will recommend has the lowest project cost and their proposal contains elements that the other proposals do not.   These extra elements add thousands of dollars of value to the proposal.

Soil testing was completed January 5 and we expect a report soon.   The soil report is needed for final engineering.   Our engineer is ready to complete the final drawings once he gets the soil report. We hope that final drawings and State approval can be completed February / March.   The current schedule will allow for an April ground breaking.
